Please fill out your census forms when you receive them.
It is required by the U.S. Constitution to have a census. Our first census was in 1790, and they are conducted every 10 years.
It is very important to be counted. Many programs are funded by federal dollars that are determined by the census. (Senior Programs, Low-income programs, Children’s Headstart Programs, etc.
A post card will be sent in the mail.
First Stage: You can call in or go online to answer the questions.
Second Stage: (If you do not answer online or call in) You will get a questioner in the mail to return.
Third Stage: (If you do not do any of the above first) A census worker will come knock on your door.
Please remember, no Census worker will ask you for your credit card number, bank account numbers or your social security number. The census has 9 questions and they WILL NOT ask for these sensitive items.
