Winter Property Tax Statements

December 1st, 2025 – Tax bills will be sent out on December 1, 2025, and are to be paid by February 17, 2026. Taxes may be paid by check or cash at the Township building front desk Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or by placing them in our 24-hour drop box, near the front door.
If you need further assistance with your tax bill, or haven’t received one by January 18th, please see the Treasurer, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or by appointment.

Leaf & Brush Station –Closed for the season.

Township Sewer Bills – 4th Quarter 2025

December 30th, 2025 – Sewer Bills will be sent out at the end of 2025. All bills can be paid via mail, or by visiting our Township Hall at 7644 Durham Road, Whitehall, MI. 49461.

Please note that a new delinquent rate of 3% will be applied to all sewer billings in excess of 30 days, compounded monthly. Please see General Ordinance, Article 5.

White Lake Dr Bridge Closure – 01/07/26 to 01/30/26

Whitehall Township – See map to left. Lane closures for road and bridge work are in effect through January 30 on northbound US-31 at White Lake Drive. During this time, White Lake Drive will be closed over US-31 and the off ramp from northbound US-31 to White Lake Drive will also be closed. 

White Lake Dr to SB-31 ramp will be open only to White Lake Dr traffic from the west.

White Lake Dr to NB-31 ramp will be open only to White Lake Dr traffic from the east.

White Lake Dr Bridge Pot Hole Caused Closure

The picture from Wood TV-8 to the left shows the current opening through the bridge. Traffic to both sides of the bridge has been posted closed and will remain so until repairs have been completed. We apologies for any and all inconvenience this may pose to all, and please know our local road crews are working on an immediate fix. This bridge is scheduled for replacement in 2028.
